Abstract of the talk:

The path to get published can sometimes be long and challenging for some authors. There are some publishers offering quick and easy “shortcuts” to publication. This presentation will give some tips on how to identify and avoid such publishers and why it is important to publish at a reputable scholarly journal or conference and how to use IEEE Xplore and other IEEE websites to identify good journals or conferences to publish your paper.

Biography:

Eszter Lukács is Client Services Manager and works with IEEE Xplore customers located in the German speaking countries, Italy, Israel and Eastern Europe. She offers lively, customized learning opportunities about publishing with the IEEE and in-depth training to help users master searching best practices. She has more than 20 years experience in the information industry. Eszter gained her Magister degree in Linguistics from the Humboldt University of Berlin; she speaks German, English, and Hungarian and is based in Berlin, Germany.
